The Basic and Key Skills Builder (BKSB) assessment is designed to assess the ability of a candidate undertaking a Functional Skills test in English, maths and ICT.

The BKSB is comprised of two elements, the initial assessment and the diagnostic assessment.
The initial assessment will determine a candidate’s current capability in English and mathematics skills – this takes around 20 minutes.
The diagnostic assessment is personalised to each candidate based on their answers given in the initial assessment. After completing the diagnostic assessment candidates will receive a learning plan which details their strengths and weaknesses and provides tips on how to improve the weaker areas.
What is the BSKB Assessment Test?
The Basic and Key Skills Builder assessment (BKSB) measures English and math skills from pre-entry levels 1, 2, and 3 (which are below GCSE level) up to levels 1 and 2 (which are equal to GCSE grades 1 to 4).
What is the purpose of the BKSB Assessment test?
The BKSB identifies gaps in a candidates knowledge and offers resources to bridge those gaps. It is also used by some employers with specific minimum entry requirements for applicants who did not achieve higher grade GCSEs.
What is the best way to prepare for your BKSB test?

By practicing all of the different question types, it enables you to improve your scores dramatically and also simulates the actual test. When preparing for your BKSB test, follow these 3 simple steps:
STEP 1: Obtain examples of the types of questions you will face during your assessment. Read them and gain an understanding of the format. If you understand the style of questions, the real test will be less daunting.
STEP 2: Practice sample BKSB assessment test questions regularly before the real test. Little and often is far better than cramming the night before your test.

EXPLANATION =
Country C = 2,350 people with malaria.
(2,350 ÷ 25) × 100 = 9,400
Country A = 9,400 people with malaria.
(9,400 ÷ 80) × 100 = 11,750
Country B = 11,750 people with malaria.

EXPLANATION

If someone is unsympathetic or blunt they could also be seen as acting in a cold manner. Likewise, ‘winter’ and ‘snow’ are both associated with cold, in terms of weather.
