Whenever you quit a job, regardless of how you are feeling, or how you have been treated by your employer, I strongly recommend you QUIT PROFESSIONALLY while maintaining integrity and respect for yourself.
You must take all emotion out of the situation when quitting a job. A frustrated, angry, or upset employee who chooses to quit their job with respect and professionalism is showing their employer they are losing a good member of their team.
If you quit your job using an angry or resentful tone, the employer will probably be glad you have left. Have respect for yourself, and show you are the better person by quitting professionally!
HOW TO QUIT YOUR JOB PROFESSIONALLY
STEP 1
Make sure your decision to quit is 100% right for you! If you are unsure about quitting, wait a little longer! Once you quit, there is no going back.
STEP 2
Don’t tell anyone in the workforce you are planning on quitting, especially your co-workers. You don’t know who you can trust.
STEP 3
Make sure you tell your manager or supervisor you are quitting face-to-face. Although you are going to submit a resignation letter or email, which I will tell you how to write in a second, make sure you have the confidence to quit in person. Your employer will have more respect for you, and they will probably ask you the reasons why you want to quit, in which case you can tell them.

Step 4
Write and submit your job resignation letter to your immediate manager or supervisor (You can find our template further down the page!).
STEP 5
Make sure you serve your notice period and during this time, maintain professionalism and offer to train your replacement if they find one in time.
STEP 6
Then, once you have submitted your resignation letter or email, you can tell your co-workers you are leaving and wish them farewell.
